DIY Valentine’s Day Cards

How cute are these handmade Valentine’s Day cards? It’s a great craft activity to do with kids. Very easy to make and you probably already have most of the materials around the house.

Things you’ll need:

  • Paper – something thicker would work better, like construction paper, card stock, art paper, etc.
  • Mod Podge or any craft glue that dries clear
  • Scissors
  • Small brush
  • Pencil
  • String
  • Glitter
  • Pompoms
  • Buttons
  • Stickers
  • Other things I think would also work great: beads, coloured rice, sequins, seeds, confetti, cupcake sprinkles, etc.

Step 1

Draw a heart and paint the inside with Mod Podge (or your glue of choice).

Step 2

Add the decorations of your choice.

Kids will love this step. It doesn’t have to be perfect. I think that’s what makes it such a precious keepsake. My toddler loved going crazy with the glitter. Because I painted the Mod Podge in a heart shape it doesn’t matter how messy it gets, the result will have that heart shape with his personal touch.

Hope you liked my ideas!
